Fuss-Free Elopements and Elopement Photography in the Scottish Highlands

Thinking of putting a ring on it in the wilds of Scotland? Bog Cotton Scottish Elopements makes it easy. Scotland is one of just six countries in the world where you can legally marry outdoors, anywhere you choose — a windswept beach, a hidden glen, or the side of a mountain. If you’re an adventure-loving couple looking for a simple, beautiful, and meaningful way to get married, we’re here to help.

Summer Glencoe Elopement

At Bog Cotton, it’s just the two of us — Paula, a Humanist celebrant with Fuze Ceremonies, and Trevor, a wedding and elopement photographer.

We’re not wedding planners, but we’ll help you with all the important bits: suggesting stunning locations, working out the best timings, and connecting you with trusted local suppliers. Our clients are outdoorsy couples who want a no-fuss wedding whilst embracing the fabulous scenery that Scotland has to offer, but who still care about heartfelt words and beautiful photographs to remember it by. We mostly work in the wild and wonderful west — around Arisaig, Glencoe, Fort William, Ardnamurchan and Mull — though we’re always up for adventure.

Take a walk down the aisle, Bog Cotton style…

Autumn elopement on Arisaig beach

“Omg everyone needs a Paula & Trevor when eloping. Thanks so much for keeping us (me) so relaxed and sane. We really didn’t know what to expect with the weather but you both made us feel excited regardless. Paula’s words – it will be epic no matter what. Obsessed with the pictures. We are so happy. Thank you guys xx”
